Pausing and Stage Manager
Pause tiling
Section titled “Pause tiling”Turn off the switch at the top of the menu bar panel, or Settings → General → Automatic tiling. Your windows stay exactly where they are, and borders disappear. The menu bar icon changes to outlined panes.
Turn it back on and Shoji arranges your windows again.
To arrange the windows again without pausing, click Retile in the panel.
Stage Manager
Section titled “Stage Manager”Stage Manager arranges windows its own way, so Shoji pauses while it’s on. The panel shows Paused while Stage Manager is on, and tiling picks up again as soon as you turn Stage Manager off.
Quit Shoji
Section titled “Quit Shoji”Choose Quit Shoji at the bottom of the menu bar panel. Windows stay where they are.
