Borders, glow and gaps
Space between windows
Section titled “Space between windows”Settings → Layout → Space between windows sets the space between windows, from 0 (edge to edge) to 24 points. The same space is used around the edges of the screen. The default is 8 points.
Highlight the active window
Section titled “Highlight the active window”Settings → Highlight → Highlight offers four choices:
- None (the default).
- Border on active: a colored outline around the active window only.
- Border on all: a colored outline around every tiled window.
- Glow on active: a soft line of color along the top edge of the active window.
Borders and the glow are drawn in the space between windows, so they never cover what’s inside a window. You can also switch borders on and off with the Borders quick switch in the menu bar panel.
Color and thickness
Section titled “Color and thickness”- Color: your Mac’s accent color (the default, set in System Settings → Appearance), one of the preset colors, or any color you pick. The same color is used for borders and the glow.
- Border thickness: 2 to 6 points, 3 by default.
If the border is thicker than the space between windows, the space grows to fit it. The glow keeps at least 4 points of space.
Borders and the glow disappear straight away when tiling is turned off or paused.
Fade the other windows
Section titled “Fade the other windows”To make the window you’re working in stand out even more, or to keep others from reading your screen, turn on No peek mode.
